SMP Console is displaying: This page can not be displayed

Issue/Introduction

When opening Internet Explorer and browse for SMP (Altiris) Console, shows "This page can not be displayed". 

 

"This page can not be displayed". 

Environment

ITMS 8.x

Resolution

1. First reset the IIS manually. Open command prompt as administrator and run "iisreset". 
2. If the issue is not resolved, check the default bindings of Default Web site in IIS Manager. Make sure all bindings exist. If not, add them:
    

   Type	Biding Information
   http	80
   net.tcp	808:*
   net.pipe	*
   msmq.formatname	localhost
   net.msmq	localhost

    

3. Then reset IIS again.
