Issue/Introduction

Description:

Is there a way to activate the CA Top Secret and CA ENF maintenance for CTS 5.1 or 5.2 without an IPL?

Solution:

The following is needed in order to install the CA ENF maintenance for CTS 5.1/5.2 without IPLing.

Apply the CA ENF maintenance for CICS CTS 5.1.0 or 5.2.0 support.

Make sure the maintenance library CAW0LOAD is in the linklist or the CA ENF STEPLIB concatenation.

If CA Top Secret has delivered a new CAKSCINT module, make sure that module is in the linklist or the CA ENF STEPLIB concatenation.

Here is a recap of the CA Top Secret and CA ENF maintenance required for CTS 5.1 and 5.2 support.

For CTS 5.1:

TSS 15.0: RO53624 and RO53625
ENF 14.0: RO31755
ENF 14.1: RO53837 and RO54378

For CTS 5.2:

TSS 15.0: RO69899 and RO69800
ENF 14.0: RO64920
ENF 14.1: RO64919

NOTE: Neither CTS 5.1 nor CTS 5.2 are supported by TSS 14.0.

Shutdown ENF.
Add 68 (for CTS 5.1) or 69 (for CTS 5.2) to the CICSREL parameter in the ENFPARM file.
Start ENF with a S ENF,,,REINIT
Reload the modules that were not loaded by the REINIT with the ENF REFRESH command for those modules:
CASESSI, CASXCICS, CAS9CICS, and CAKSCINT. For example
ENF REFRESH(CAKSCINT).
Restart CICS in INITIAL.
With START=INITIAL, CICS performs an initial start as if you are starting a new region for the first time.
This initial start of a CICS region is different from a CICS region that initializes with a START=COLD.
