Messaging Gateway 10.7 antivirus does not report UTF-8 filenames consistently

Issue/Introduction

Following the update to Messaging Gateway (SMG) 10.7, message audit logs and other reporting may not report UTF-8 formatted file names as expected. File name reporting for UTF-8 formatted names may suffer from the following:

• Invalid UTF-8 in the file name
• No file name is reported of the expected field is empty
• An incorrect file name is reported

Resolution

This is a known issue has been addressed with the Messaging Gateway 10.7.4 release.

Workaround for v10.7.1

If you are currently experiencing this issue on SMG 10.7.1 and are unable to upgrade, you can apply patch 10.7.1-276.
