Description:

This article discusses how to increase the heap size for Webstart workstation UI.

Solution:

On the Enterprise Manager:

1. Go to [EMInstall]\product\enterprisemanager\plugins\com.wily.introscope.workstation.webstart_9.6.0\WebContent\jnlp
   
   
2. Edit in workstation.jsp the following section:
   
   j2se version="1.7*" java-vm-args="-Xms64m -Xmx512m -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true"
   
   Set the Xms and Xmx values appropriately.
   
   On the client side (i.e. the computer launching Webstart workstation UI):
   
   
3. Clear the existing client-side cache found typically at this location:
   
   @user.home/Application Data/Wily/Introscope/product/workstation
   
   If not finding the above location, then clear cache using the Java Control Panel.
   
   
4. Launch the Webstart workstation User Interface.
