After you successfully deploy Symantec Endpoint Security (formerly Endpoint Protection 15) client to macOS, you see the message "Scan Error" when you start a full scan. When you click "Fix Now," LiveUpdate runs successfully, but you still see the message "Scan Error" when you start a full scan.
When running a full scan, you get a generic error:
This issue was fixed in an updated Mac client build (14.2 RU1 b178) available from the Endpoint Security cloud console.
NOTE this error will still occur if attempting to manually run a full scan as a non-administrative user; full scans require administrative access.
