After you successfully deploy Symantec Endpoint Security (formerly Endpoint Protection 15) client to macOS, you see the message "Scan Error" when you start a full scan. When you click "Fix Now," LiveUpdate runs successfully, but you still see the message "Scan Error" when you start a full scan.
When running a full scan, you get a generic error:
This error would appear for admin users in earlier builds and was fixed in newer Mac client versions as of 14.2 RU1 b178.
This error is normal if attempting to manually run a full scan as a non-administrative user; full scans still require administrative access.
