Does CA Service Desk Manager (CA SDM) leverage Oracle Database's Bind Variables?

CA SDM with Oracle DBMS leverages bind variables in insert and update operations. In addition, for queries/updates in most stored procedures, bind variables are leveraged.
Our Oracle "select" queries do not generally use bind variables. This is related to problems faced with case-insensitive searches in earlier releases of Oracle. We have not observed any negative performance impact because of the same.
