Issue/Introduction

When attempting to upgrade VIP Enterprise Gateway on Linux, the upgrade stalls or fails.

Mount Error 13 = Permission Denied

Cause

Improper permissions to the /tmp mount point used by the upgrade process.

Resolution

Remove the NOEXEC and NOSUID bits from /tmp in /etc/fstab or using the mount command.

Missing LiveUpdate can also cause this error. Check this by Manually installing the Live Update Client for VIP Enterprise Gateway
