Issue/Introduction

You are trying to launch your Medhost Emergency Department Management System (EDMS) application and the splash screen is not loading. Removing or disabling the Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Endpoint Agent allows the Medhost application to launch correctly. Running the Medhost EDMS application as Administrator also resolves the issue.

Cause

The Medhost application needs to be excluded from DLP.

Environment

  • Windows 7 or 10
  • Medhost EDMS Version 2017 R1 SR1 MR2
  • DLP 15.1
