The purpose of this article is to provide an explanation to this behavior and what has to be done in order to policy to be pushed including the change in Unified Agent.
Unified Agent Web Filtering section has two parts: Rules that are created as commands in the SG appliance (on the right panel), and CPL code that is installed when creating and managing categories (on the left panel).
If a change is applied in the rules section, this change will not be affected by installing policy in the Management Center because it is not linked to CPL.
However, if a change is applied on the left panel, it means that the CPL code of the appliance changed, and that is when this issue occurs.
In order to install the policy through Management Center, after applying the change in the left panel of Unified Agent Web Filtering settings, the current CPL from the ProxySG must be imported first into the Management Center, so that the MC recognizes that changes were made. Otherwise, if you install new policy without importing the current one, the changes applied in UA will not be added.
