Issue/Introduction

The purpose of this article is to provide instructions to retrieve and upload Packetshaper configuration and log files for analysis.

Resolution

The instructions are the following:

  1. Open a web browser and log in to PacketShaper.
  2. Choose Advanced UI from the top-right corner
  3. Click on the Info tab and then the file browser button.
  4. Open the 9.258 folder.
  5. Select the diag folder and choose the zip option to zip this folder. Enter a name for the zip file.
  6. Download the zip file. You can right-click and select save target as in IE or Save link as in Firefox and Chrome.
  7. Use similar steps to browse to the 9.256 folder, select the cfg folder, zip the contents, and download the zip file.
  8. Use similar steps to browse to the 9.256 folder, select the log folder, zip the contents, and download the zip file.
  9. Zip the log folder and download the file.
  10. After his, upload the files to the case, you can upload them through the File Transfer feature in support.symantec.com
