Issue/Introduction

You are trying to install WorkFlow or ServiceDesk/WorkFlow. It fails the requirements check.

WCF Requirement ..... Failed[WCF is not installed or registered in IIS. Please check .Net Framework features and ensure that WCF support is installed. If you are experiencing problems with service activation, you probably need to run: %WINDIR%\Microsoft.Net\Framework\v3.0\Windows Communication Foundation\ServiceModelReg.exe /i /x in order to register WCF or check that .svc scriptmap of selected website exists.]

Environment

Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2016

IT Management Suite 8.5 and 8.5 RU1

Resolution

Using Server Manager, we installed the following WCF Services:

  • HTTP Activation
  • Message Queuing (MSMQ) Activation
  • Named Pipe Activation
  • TCP Activation
  • TCP Port Sharing.

Restart IIS.
