Unsupported ISO - only ISO's containing a single image supported

Environment

Content Analysis 2.3.1.1

Cause

This issue occurs when there is missing install.wim in the ISO file. This is why it failed.

Resolution

On CAS 2.3.1.1 we are supporting only single image edition ISO. Any Multi image ISO is not supported.

If you create a Windows 7 or 10 ISO file with Microsoft's media creation tool on a Windows system (https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10), the ISO is created without a critical file (install.wim). If you then try to import this ISO as a base image for on-box sandboxing, the import will fail. Note that this is not an issue if you get the ISO from a Linux or Mac system since these operating systems do not use the media creation tool. When using a Windows system, you can avoid the issue by downloading the ISO from an authenticated source such as MSDN.
