Issue/Introduction

When attempting to update the Symantec Messaging Gateway, the error Unable to access repository is observed.  Upon review it is noted that the file /data/yum/etc/version-description.xml is missing.

Cause

The required file /data/yum/etc/version-description.xml could not be updated within the configured timeout of 60 seconds.

Resolution

Follow up with the networking team in order to troubleshoot any connectivity issues.
