Ghost support for Linux GPT partition tables

Issue/Introduction

Currently the Ghost binaries for cloning do not support GPT partition tables on non Microsoft OS's 

Images may be able to be created and restored with out error but the destination system will not be set to boot properly. 

Environment

Ghost Solution Suite and Ghost standard tools. 
Deployment Solution 
Non Microsoft OS's  with GPT partitions. 

Cause

Currently the Ghost Binaries do not support GPT partitions outside of Microsoft OS's

Resolution

Currently systems to be cloned with the Ghost binaries that are non Microsoft will need to be loaded with non GPT partitions in order to be cloned.

Symantec has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned at the end of this article. Symantec is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.

There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. This issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time.
