Issue/Introduction

When saving a PowerPoint file an error occurs stating "We're sorry, something went wrong that might make PowerPoint unstable. Please save your presentations and restart PowerPoint"

When the DLP agent is disabled the error no longer occurs

Environment

DLP Agent

Microsoft Office

Resolution

This issue is resolved in 15.1 MP1. Upgrade to this version for the fix. See the 15.1 MP1 release notes for details.

Hotfix (15.0.0108) is available for 15.0 MP1 agents. Please contact support for the latest DLP 15.0 MP1 agent hotfix.

Workaround:

The workaround for this issue is to disable the Cload Storage Channel for office. To do this edit the Agent Configuration. Go to the Settings tab and uncheck "Monitor Microsoft Office files saved to web locations ". Save the configuration then apply / update the agent configruation for the respective agent groups. Once the agent has recieved the new configuration this error should no longer occur.
