Recalling an Encrypted message that was sent

Symantec Email Security.Cloud accounts using the Echoworx or Zix encryption portal send an encrypted message accidentally and want to recall or delete the sent message.


Contact Symantec Enterprise Technical Support and ask for the message to be deleted from the encrypted pick-up portal.

Symantec Enterprise Technical Support will need one of the following for the email in question:

  • Message ID
  • Message Ref number
  • Sender, Recipient, Subject, and Date

With one of the above, Symantec Enterprise Technical Support can reach out to the encryption service and have the email removed from the encryption pick-up portal.
