Error: "Datastore error" when adding exclusion from risk log for file in Endpoint Protection Manager

Issue/Introduction

In Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEP), when attempting to add an exclusion from a Risk Log for a specific file, you get an error message.

Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) displays the following message:

Number of policies successfully updated: 0. There was an error: Datastore error.

The log file scm_server.log displays the following:

2018-06-15 10:59:41.656 THREAD 219804180 SEVERE: in: com.sygate.scm.server.consolemanager.requesthandler.ReportActionHandler com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <, <= , >, >= or when the subquery is used as an expression.

Environment

Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 14.0 RU1 through 14.2 MP1

Cause

There are invalid SHA1 values in the database associated with specific applications.

Resolution

Fixed on SEP 14.2RU1. {FIXED_DOWNLOAD_LATEST_SEP.EN_US}
