Unable to add new license for expired DLP Web Appliance

Issue/Introduction

Customer with an expired Web appliance wants to upload a new Symantec License File (SLF), but at the general page is unable to do so because the option is missing.

When first going to System > Settings > General page, Enforce may show this error “An unexpected error has occurred. The contents of this page may be incomplete. Please try again

Environment

DLP 15.8+

Cause

Possibly related to specific fixes for Appliance SLF in prior release.

Resolution

Go to the license directory on the Enforce file system and remove the expired Appliance SLF which is present.

Then restart the SymantecDLPManager service
