Issue/Introduction

Situation 1: Download Size Exceeded

In the Activity Log, the Content Action is “Blocked”. In the Details field, the following is displayed:

Blocked because the file size exceeds the limit. The current security policy prohibits the requested action. File size: <file size> MB. Admin-specified maximum file size for downloading: <maximum file size> MB.

This means that the maximum configured file size for downloading files was exceeded.

Situation 2: Viewing Size Exceeded

In the Activity Log, the Content Action is “Blocked”. In the Details field, the following is displayed:

Blocked because the file size exceeds the limit. The current security policy prohibits the requested action. File size: <file size> MB. Admin-specified maximum file size for viewing: <maximum file size> MB.

This means that the maximum configured file size for viewing files was exceeded.

Resolution

Solution 1: Adjust the maximum file size for downloading

  1. Click Rule Name to open the matched rule for this Activity Log.
  2. In the Rule page, scroll to the Download Profile and open it.
  3. Find the Max Download Size (MB) and adjust it according to your requirements.
  4. Push settings.

Solution 2: Adjust the maximum file size for viewing

  1. Go to System Configuration > Advanced Configuration.
  2. Search for file_viewer.max_file_size and adjust the value (in bytes) according to your requirements.
  3. Push settings.
