Issue/Introduction

User faced an error while sending the message.

2844 | csMAPIClient.cpp>SendMail(2031): An error occurred while trying to send the message!! Error Code: 260

Resolution

In the registry, verify the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Watchful Software\RightsWATCH.  The String path must have '\' at the end.  The String webservice should be pointing to http(s)://[ict_fqdn]/rightswatch/webservice

If this does not work, verify the DRM folder of the user.  It should contain:

• One CERT file
• One CLC file
• One GIC file

For some reason, RMS creates more than one GIC file, and ICT did not fetch the correct one.

On the ICT server: rename the DRM folder and try to send email again:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\DRM

Verify the connection to the Exchange Server.  You can use MFCMapi to do this test.
Please Start MFCMapi with a regular user and try to log in to the profile and open the mailbox.
