Issue/Introduction

User cannot classify information correctly 

Resolution

If you are testing RMS / ICT and you are unable to classify documents, please check the following settings:

  • Office version (it should be Professional plus or above to support IRM functionalities)
  • Make sure you can use the native IRM option on Office applications (this can only be achieved without RightsWATCH installed or with it disabled)
  • SCP is correctly registered without the :443 on the addresses (this is checked on the AD RMS console)
  • User can access RMS server
  • DRM and MSIPC folders are being created under %localappdata%\Microsoft
