Steps to check ICT version

Issue/Introduction

This artcile describes how you can validate which version of ICT is installed on both servers and clients

Resolution

Windows Client (one of the following):

  1. Go to Control Panel > Programs and features and check the ICT version in the Version column

       

       2. Open any Office App; if the ICT client is installed, go to click the ICT tab and then the About ICT

        

      3. Go to C:\Program Files\Symantec Corporation\Information Centric Tagging and right click cssecure-outlook.dll or mls-office.dll to access its properties - the version                  can  be found in the Details tab (File version e Product version)

       

 

Mobile Devices:

  1. Access the mobile app and click the about button. The version will appear in the pop-up window

RightsWATCH Server (One of the following):

  1. Go to Control Panel > Programs and features and check the ICTversion in the Version column - this is only showing the 3 first digits of the version                   
  2. Go to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\RightsWATCH\[module name]\bin and right click cs-server-common.dll to access its properties - the version can be found in the Details tab (File version e Product version

           

Exchange server (One of the following):

  1. Go to Control Panel > Programs and features and check the ICT version in the Version column - this is only showing the 3 first digits of the version   
  2. Login to OWA with a user with RightsWATCH License and role assigned, click the user name in the top right; the version is visible right below the user image (works for OWA 2013 only)
