Intermittent connectivity issues when using Web Traffic Redirection

Issue/Introduction

Intermittent connection issues are experienced between computers and Web Security Service (WSS) when using WSS Traffic Redirection (WTR) for Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP).

Cause

This most commonly occurs when WTR is disabled on the client and then reenabled. ccSvcHst has the potential to hit a deadlock situation when unloading plugins which can prevent the SEP Local Proxy Service (LPS) from responding on port 2968 when ccSvcHst starting it back up.

Resolution

WTR Engine version 1.1.0.159 was released to fix this issue.
