Autoupgrade schedule not adhered to on Endpoint Protection 14.2 clients

Article ID: 172815

Updated On:

Endpoint Protection

After adding an Autoupgrade package to a group in the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) and defining an upgrade timeframe and/or distribute over schedule, the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) clients upgrade outside of the defined schedule.

There are no errors present.

Endpoint Protection 14.2 clients do not adhere to any defined Autoupgrade schedules and will start the upgrade as soon as the package is available; using their normal heartbeat schedule.

Endpoint Protection 14.2

This issue is resolved in Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.2 MP1 client. Upgrade to 14.2 MP1 or higher to resolve this issue.

This issue will be encountered when migrating from 14.2 to the fixed version and should not be experienced on future client upgrades once they are on a version that contains the fix.
