Searching for apps by hash in Endpoint Protection Mobile portal

Issue/Introduction

You want to locate specific apps and files on device(s) with only the file hash in Symantec Endpoint Protection Mobile (SEP Mobile)

Resolution

To be able to search for specific apps or files on devices by their hash, you will need to enable this option in your SEP Mobile portal. After signing in click on your Setting tab.

On the left-hand side select the Privacy Controls under the General section.

Under the Personal Data section, locate the box next to “Installed apps” and check that box and then click Apply changes.

 

After the changes take place click on the "Apps" tab at the top.

Then select on the Library tab.

In the search bar on the right-hand side paste the hash for that specific app or file that you are trying to locate.
