Issue/Introduction

You are seeing errors in the Directory Integration logs that contain "Invalid search base".

"Directory Data Service - [1508798383334] Invalid search base"

OR

"Invalid query start (base DN) specified for LDAP data source. DDS error code: 800410 Additional information: Invalid search base: example.com"

Cause

The cause of this issue is currently unknown.

Resolution

• Confirm that all fields "Base DN:" in the directory integration source have a valid Base DN.
  • In the Control Center, go to (Administration -> Directory Integration -> Click on the source)
  • Verify the Base DN is valid in the Authentication, Recipient Validation, Routing and Address Resolution tabs by clicking the Customize Query buttons
