Error: "Failed to install the product MSI 'ESMManager.Msi'."

Issue/Introduction

After failing to install the Symantec Control Compliance Suite (CCS), when a user tries to uninstall the component that was installed, below error occurs:

Failed to install the product MSI 'ESMManager.Msi'.
Failed to install product MSI 'Installing Manager for message based content...'.
The installation activity Getting the DeprecateUnSupportedFeatures from registry... failed to execute.

Cause

A firewall or some security software is blocking communications to and/or from port 5600, 12431 and 1431.

Resolution

1. Make sure the firewall exceptions and security for all of the ports.

2. Reinstall CCS
