Issue/Introduction

The Management Center OVF does not install correctly on vSphere 6.5. vSphere 6.5 sets the boot option to BIOS, instead of the correct setting for the Management Center OVF: EFI/UEFI.

Resolution

To workaround this problem, use the vSphere client to deploy the OVF, but change the Boot Options setting to EFI before starting the VM.

  • Open the vSphere client.
  • Deploy the Management Center OVF.
  • Right click the Management Center VM and select Edit Settings. Note: Do not power on the VM yet.

  • Select VM Options.
  • Select Boot Options, then EFI.
