After upgrade to the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client to version 14.2, the client will show offline in the manager when they should show online. If you restart the SEP master service or reboot the machine the client will appear online for a short duration and eventually show offline.
Review of CVE.log and CVE-actions log, shows large time gaps of no activity or communication with the manager loggged when there should have been expected logging and communication.
There is a deadlock condition resulting in CVE hang
