'Unable to copy installation files' error causes Cloud SWG Auth Connector (BCCA) installation to fail

Issue/Introduction

While installing Cloud SWG (BCCA) Auth Connector, it fails with an error message:

Installation of the ThreatPulse Auth Connector failed. Unable to copy installation files.

Environment

Cloud SWG (Web Security Service)

Auth Connector (BCCA)

Resolution

1. Stop all "Auth Connector" services and processes running.
2. Delete the Blue Coat Cloud Authentication (BCCA) Auth Connector folder in Program files (inside Blue Coat Systems Folder).
3. Reboot to close additional processes using any BCCA folders or services.
4. Install the newest version of Auth Connector.
