Traffic in (IE) Internet Explorer sent to blank page

Issue/Introduction

When browsing the internet with IE v11.0.9600.19100, users are being redirected to the proxy FQDN virtual URL.

This happens when in Transparent proxy using  "origin-cookie-redirect" authentication mode.

Other browsers still work correctly.

Refreshing the address bar URL may allow the page to finally load completely.

Cause

This is being caused by a bug that affects the redirects on that IE version, as described by Microsoft:

Resolution

In order to resolve this, apply update KB 4459022.
