Testing site access with old IE versions without reinstalling the browser

Issue/Introduction

The purpose of this article is to show a tool that can be used in the latest Internet Explorer in order to diagnose issues related to browser versions.

Resolution

In order to open a site with a different IE version than the current one, follow these steps:

• Open IE and go to the site you need to test
• Open Developer tools by pressing F12
• On the top right section of the Developer Tools Window, click on the button that displays "Edge" (latest version at the time of this writing) and selects the version of IE you need to test with. The site will reload automatically after the IE version is selected.
