Issue/Introduction

You are looking for a database maintenance script or a way to "clean up" the Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Oracle database.

Cause

Incident reporting performance often deteriorates when the number of incidents in your system exceeds one million (1,000,000). Symantec recommends keeping your incident count below this threshold by deleting incidents to maintain good system performance.

Resolution

Symantec does not provide any database maintenance scripts for general use. If you are experiencing a specific issue with your DLP database that requires a script to fix please contact Symantec Support for additional assistance.
