Issue/Introduction

You want to enable diagnostic logging for the Symantec Management Agent (SMA).

Note: Enabling diagnostic logging for the SMA is best practice for Site Servers.

Environment

Management Platform (Formerly known as Notification Server), 8.1 all RUs

Resolution

Run a command prompt as Administrator and go to [Install Drive]Program FilesAltirisAltiris Agent. Run aexagentutil.exe /diags.

This will enable the diagnostics options on the banner menu (upper right below), and also will enable the “Edit Server URL” and “Import Profile” (mid left) options under Agent Settings tab.
