Issue/Introduction

After a fresh install of Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) 3.1.0 the appliance crashes and the User Interface (UI) doesn't load.

Performing a reverse lookup of the ATP IP results in a failure similar to the example below:

[email protected]>nslookup 10.0.0.20
Server: 10.0.0.10
Address: 10.0.0.10#53

20.0.0.10.in-addr.arpa name = atp.test.domain.0.0.10.in-addr.arpa.

[email protected]>nslookup atp.test.domain.0.0.10.in-addr.arpa.
Server: 10.0.0.10
Address: 10.0.0.10#53s

** server can't find atp.test.domain.0.0.10.in-addr.arpa.: NXDOMAIN

Cause

ATP is unable to resolve its host name causing one of the services to fail to load.

Resolution

Ensure that there is a forward and reverse lookup in DNS for ATP.
