Issue/Introduction

SEP (Symantec Endpoint Protection) clients are not connecting to SEPM (Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager) server after installation.

HTTP Error 400 Bad Request.

Cause

Default gateway IP address is missing.

Environment

SEP 12.x and 14.x

Resolution

Ensure to provide the default gateway IP address in the SEPM Server Network Connection settings to have the clients communicate.
