Issue/Introduction

When running Messaging Gateway (SMG) on Windows 2008 Hyper-V, at startup the Hyper-V console shows a probe failed error.

Resolution

This error does not appear to impact SMG operation.

This error does not appear in installations of SMG on Windows 2012 Hyper-V or later.

Note: Installation of SMG 10.6.6 or later on Windows Hyper-V 2008 is not supported. Please consult the Release Notes document for your specific SMG release for details on supported platforms.
