Error: 'Duplicate entries are present` message in Exceptions policy

After upgrading the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) from pre-14.2 to 14.2, a warning message about duplicate entries is displayed when editing and saving the Exceptions policy.

"Duplicate entries are present. Remove all duplicate entries and then save the policy."


14.2 now checks for duplicates in the Exceptions Policy.


There are two viable options

  1. Manually remove all duplicate entries within the Exceptions policy.
  2. Engage Symantec Technical Support for assistance.
