Blank space in DMARC Reporting Settings:'Sender Address' field causes 501 Synatx error and Undelivered mail is returned to sender.

Issue/Introduction

After configuring the DMARC reporting Settings in Spam > Sender Authentication with an email address that contains a blank space, Messaging Gateway (SMG) defers all messages as undeliverable.

Example:

Sender Address: < [email protected]> ( NOTE : There is blank space before word dmarc )

Cause

Blank spaces are not allowed in the DMARC reporting address and result in a DMARC syntax error.

Resolution

This issue has been addressed with SMG 10.6.6. Blank spaces at the beginning or end of the DMARC Failure Report address are now automatically stripped before saving the configuration.
