Issue/Introduction

You would like to know if a CCS agent is installed and running on Windows or UNIX/Linux servers.

Environment

Currently supported Windows servers

Currently supported UNIX/Linux servers

Resolution

To check to see if the CCS agent is installed on Windows:
-In the Add/Remove programs you will see the entry 'Symantec Control Compliance Suite <version> - Agent'.
-The 'Symantec CCS Agent' service is running.

To check on UNIX\Linux
- Check to see if the /esm directory is present
- Check to see if process is running by running the command 'ps -ef | grep esm'
