Issue/Introduction

Some Windows 10 computers may encounter Blue Screen behavior referencing Partmgr.sys after installing Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11. This has typically been observed to happen at random intervals.  A reboot usually restores normal operations for an indeterminate amount of time before the computer may blue screen again.

Resolution

Symantec has fixed this in Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11.2.0 MP1, which is available through FileConnect.

Historical Reference:
Symantec first released a fix in Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11.2.0 HF1, but customers are advised to install 11.2.0 MP1 rather than the hotfix.
