Issue/Introduction
A hardware or other failure has caused a Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) server to shut down unexpectedly.
Environment
Microsoft Windows Server 2008
Microsoft Windows Server 2012
Microsoft Windows Server 2016
Microsoft SQL Server
Resolution
If you are using a Microsoft SQL Server database instead of an embedded database, you do not need to take any special precautions when restarting a SEPM server if the database is on a different server.
