Issue/Introduction

Attempts to import a previously exported domain .dat from a Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager fail with a DomainImporterHandler error message that the zip file is empty, despite having a larger than 0-byte file size.

scm-server log:

2017-10-25 10:19:00.058 THREAD 669 SEVERE: Unexpected server error. in: com.sygate.scm.server.consolemanager.requesthandler.DomainImporterHandler com.sygate.scm.server.metadata.MetadataException: Invalid client package file. Error: zip file is empty

Cause

A broken link within the original domain causes the import action to fail.

Resolution

Code changes were made to prevent exporting a bad domain file.

This issue is fixed in Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.2. For information on how to obtain the latest build of Symantec Endpoint Protection, see Download the latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection.
