Issue/Introduction

PC Transplant Template.exe crashes when modifying advanced settings in an existing template. 

While working with PC Transplant using the Tepmplate.exe to make a custom template the application will crash.  While using the advanced settings under the files, folders, or file types tab if the entry is added and then edited further from there Template.exe will crash.

Environment

• Working with PC Transplant included in 
• Ghost Solution Suite 3.2 RU6 and earlier
• Deployment Solution 8.1 RU6 and earlier

Cause

The cause of this issue is a defect in the Template.exe executable. 

Resolution

This issue has been resolved by way of updating to DS 8.1 RU7 and GSS 3.2 RU7.

Symantec has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in earlier versions of the product(s) cited at the end of this article. Symantec is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.

There are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in earlier versions of the software at the present time.  However, the issue has been addressed in the revision of the product specified at the end of this article.
