MC Alerts "/data, /core, / has exceeded warning level of X%

Issue/Introduction

You have a Management Center (MC) appliance showing the alert message below.

/core has exceeded WARNING level of 95.0%, current usage is 23.56545584867562%

Yet the storage at that time is not at 95% utilized

STORAGE:StorageUsage [name=/core, total=10434699264, used=2458984448, type=hrStorageFixedDisk, uom=bytes]

Cause

The issue is not related to any problem with the disk or no space to the disk.

Resolution

Backup the MC and run the below command from command line interface:

service rebuild-repository-index


NOTE:  Your MC must be on 1.11.1.2 or higher release to run this command.
