Issue/Introduction

We are seeing an error in the OneClick Tomcat log: (PoolThread-3: DomainHierarchy 0x400000 => HierarchyTask for 1 models, relation 0x10048) (MODELHIER) - ERROR CIRCULAR PATH DETECTED: 0x4ce2f1 => 0x4e7bdc => 0x4e9c40 => 0x4e9c8b => 0x4e9c40

DX Netops Spectrum all supported versions

Resolution

This message is FAD and can be safely ignored. The cause of the message is an indication that Spectrum has identified a cyclical model relationship. 

For example, if VMWare is installed on a VM, Spectrum may detect where a parent model (VMWare) is nested within a child model (vm). Another example may be similar relationships found in Chassis Manager.

The message does not impact functionality. The model handles of the affected models are included in the message for investigation.
