When tunneling Flash and RTMP over the HTTP proxy, content stops playing in the middle of the stream on ProxySG or Advanced Secure Gateway (ASG).
Sites that host Flash content may not reliably deliver Flash content over RTMPT (RTMP over HTTP) which uses HTTP protocol between the client and the Origin Content Server (OCS) through the ProxySG appliance. The ProxySG or ASG will use the HTTP proxy service to handle these connections instead of the Flash proxy service. This could result in multiple servers delivering the content and context of the stream will be lost.
Enable HTTP handoff for Flash proxy on the ProxySG or ASG. The Flash proxy handoff option forces the device to maintain a connection with one server for the duration of the entire stream. This workaround requires that you have a Flash license installed on the ProxySG or ASG.
To enable HTTP handoff for Flash, see "Fine Tune Streaming Proxy Settings" in the ProxySG First Steps WebGuide. To verify that you have a valid Flash license, select Maintenance > Licensing > View > Licensed Components. If you do not have a Flash license, contact Symantec customer care for help.
