Increase the max number of child nodes visible in the tree. Currently fixed 500 value: "More than 500 items in this folder..."

Issue/Introduction

You have 2000 resources imported from your AD OU.  You would like to see all of them in the tree view under Organizations Views and Groups > Asset by Cost Center instead of just the top 500.  You would like to be able to customize this (increase the number).

Resolution

1. Go to ....\ProgramData\Symantec\SMP\Settings\CoreSettings.config
2. Locate string 'ConsoleTreeFolderMaxChildItems'  and change it to any number you like.
   Default value is 500 in 7.1 and 200 for 8.0 and later
   
3. Refresh whole page or reopen it in browser to refresh cache.
   

Or from the SMP Console:

1. Go to Settings > Notification Server > Core Settings
2. Search for  'ConsoleTreeFolderMaxChildItems' and change it to any number you like.
3. Save the changes
   
   

Note:
By increasing this value you may get in some performance issues while loading the tree view, however this should be minimal since multiple improvements has been made in recent releases around tree loading time.
