ProxySG content filtering categorizes a URL incorrectly.

A URL appears to have the wrong content filtering category.


 If you believe that a URL is associated with the wrong category, you can request a change to the category of the URL.

  1. Go to
  2. Enter the URL and click Check Category. The category assigned to the URL is displayed. If this is incorrect, fill out the request form as described in the following steps.
  3. In the Filtering Service drop-down dialog, choose Blue Coat ProxySG.
  4. Select the category you suggest the site should belong to. Provide as much detail about the website in the Comments and Site Description field.
  5. Click Submit for Review.

If the URL is accepted for the specified category, it will be updated within 24 to 48 hours.  As a short-term workaround for this issue, you can add the URL to a whitelist (or blacklist). See Create Whitelist.
