Cloud Secure Web Gateway - Cloud SWG

Issue/Introduction

  • The CASB Audit Service is an integration between the Web Security Service (WSS) and the Symantec  Elastica CloudSOC™ platform. The CloudSOC contains an Audit applet, which provides granular visibility of the web applications. With the supplemental CASB Audit Service license, you can connect to this Audit applet from your WSS account portal and view web application reports. Analyzing these reports allows you to further refine your web application access and security policies.

Resolution

Prerequisites:

When you purchase the CASB Audit Service license, the admin on record receives an e-mail from Elastica that contains the Integration ID. You must have this ID to register.

NOTE: The Integration ID is not the same number as your WSS Subscription ID.

You must log in as the primary WSS admin to be able to view the product configuration option.

Procedure:

1) The next time you (as a  WSS admin) logs into the WSS portal, the service matches the credentials against the entitlements, recognizes the new CASB Audit Service license, and displays the registration wizard page.

NOTE: If this is your first time registering any license/product on the WSS, you must complete the admin credentials setup page.

On the Product Configuration page, the WSS displays the CASB Audit product as Not Configured.

To get to this configuration, please go to Service > Account Maintenance > Integrations.

If you don't see any integration here, click on New integration and select CASB Audit Service. After that you will see a new integration created. To access the configuration you can expand the drop down menu.

2) Define the data storage location and data retention limits, also enter your company domain and Integration ID

IMPORTANT—Select the appropriate Data Storage Location for your location. You cannot change this value after setup.
